Handling Techniques have just completed the manufacture and installation of a new 4000L double helix ribbon bladed mixer. We completed the entire design, manufacture and installation in 6 weeks as the mixer that needed to be replaced had broken it's main shaft three times and was of great concern to our customer as down time would have beed a major problem to production.
The body of the mixer was manufacture from 6mm thick Stainless Steel with 8mm thick end plates, the main shaft was 220mm dia x 25mm wall thickness complete with 35mm dia ribbon arms. The outer ribbon was manufactured from 40mm x 20mm thick Stainless flat bar and the inner ribbon of 80mm x 6mm thich material.
